Isolation of the Mind

Isolation of the Mind

When you think of isolation, you probably think of being alone. Yes, that is true, but, in this context, I will speak about the isolation of the mind. In this present time, we are all in a place where isolation can be a great thing, lifesaving, and a moment to gather our thoughts and reevaluate our choices and decisions. Our country is so divided; it is in part because of our so call leader. He plans to keep us divided so we cannot be an equal society. He instead has us stay at odds, the poor remain poor, the rich stay rich, and anyone that is not his race stays away. Isolation of the mind is scary. People who keep everything to themselves instead of sharing tend to be less social, self-esteem is low, and their paths can be steep. The isolation of the mind is a place where great things can be discovered or rejected. The mind can be a place of intuition, fear, and the start of big dreams. You will use your mind for something great or not so great.

In March, I decided to use this period of isolation to spread my wing and move into the world of Entrepreneurship full force. Before the shutdown, I was building my life coaching business (Actively Becoming Better Always) very slowly. I was putting off building a website, daily posting on social media, developing content, and making live videos (still not there yet). However, the mask business took off. I had no plan to make a mask for myself or anyone else, but the opportunity came with a joke. I was joking with my daughter that I would make her a mask because she was on the front line, working for Walmart. She took me up on that offer, and then I began making masks for her co-worker and others. You see, God put me in isolation to discover a new skill. Isolation- an excellent opportunity out of a bad crisis. I look at isolation as an opportunity to grow my business, learn a new skill, gain confidence in myself, and become more aware of who I am, my likes, and dislikes.

The most important thing I have learned is how to get closer to God by continually praying and meditating. For me to be successful, I must spend quality time with God. So, when this is all over, I will be able to say that my isolation was a blessing.

I am not sure where you are in isolation, but I am sure you can take something out of your experience and see the positive.

It is all for the Glory of God.
